Our exceptional curated tours take you from the urban neighborhoods of Accra in the central region, to the Mt. Afadjato and Akosombo in the Volta Region, to the markets of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. We’ll also visit Takoradi or Tadi as the locals say it in the Western region and motorcycle city, Tamale in the Northern region. And so much more! Come for one week or two*.

We’ll travel to Cape Coast to see where our ancestors took their last bath at Assin Manso and Elmina Castle where they left the shores of their beloved land, never to return. On the way we’ll visit Kakum National Forest and walk among the thrilling treetop canopy 130 ft in the air.
Receive your Day Name during a traditional naming ceremony held in your honor and enjoy a celebration of culture with traditional musical artists, dancers, and acrobatic performers. Enjoy delectable Ghanaian cuisine and engage with the locals at popular restaurants and entertainment spots.

Day 1 :

Week 2 friends, arrive in Accra, Ghana with pickup service from Kotoko International Airport to lodging at Bojo Beach Resort.

2-week friends, its business as usual. Enjoy a second day of Afro Future Fest and or attend the cultural welcome reception dinner and naming ceremony at Osikan Ocean Rock Retreat Center for our new touring friends.

Day 2 :

Immerse yourself in Ghanaian history, culture, and art during this city day tour. We’ll start at Black Star Plaza and then make our way over to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum. We’ll get started with souvenir buying early with a stop at the Accra Art Center, where you’ll be able to find carvings, leather goods, traditional Kente fabric, beautiful artwork and so much more. Even learn how to carve your own table!

Day 3 :

We will visit Mokola Market, Accra’s largest market, where you will take in a cacophony of color, sites sound, and people. There’s nothing you can’t find at this market. Experience trade and culture in its purest form. Then get ready for a spirited night as we ring in the New Year at Labadie Beach. It’s one of the places in Ghana where you will enjoy performing artists, local craftsmen selling their wares, excellent food, and beautiful sunset vistas. This beach will certainly be turned up for New Year’s Eve celebrating!

Day 4 :

In the morning we head to Winneba to experience the annual Fancy Dress Festival, also known locally as Kakamotobi. This masquerade festival is held on the first day of the year, in Winneba, a town in the Effutu Municipal district, in the central region of Ghana. The festival is an elaborate assortment of colorful costumes and masks very much like its offspring Carnival, and is a celebration of creativity, transformation, and history. We’ll have lunch at Kings and Queens Restaurant for some local cuisine and then its back to Accra. Dinner at Starbites Restaurant. Call it a night because we are up early the next day.

Day 5 :

We head out early for Akosombo in the Volta Region. We check into the Volta Hotel, put on our hiking shoes and head to Mt. Ajadato for a trekking adventure. Mt. Afadja also known Afadjato to the Ewe People of Ghana and Togo, is part of the Agumatsa sub-range of the West Africa Mountains, with a summit 2,904 ft above sea level.

We’ll also take the 6 mile roundtrip trek to nearby Tagbo Falls and Wli Falls (the highest in West Africa. There are several caves, streams and other waterfalls in this lush, forested area. We’ll have dinner at the Volta or Royal Senchi Hotel.

Day 6 :

Today we have breakfast on the beautiful hotel terrace overlooking Volta Lake and Akosombo Dam. Also known as the Volta Dam, it is a hydroelectric dam on the Volta River. Similarly, Volta Lake is the largest artificial reservoir in the world based on surface area. We will take the 5 hour Doty Boat Cruise on Volta Lake to Doty Island. We will board the 150 capacity pleasure boat the famous MV Dodi Princess II to Dodi Island off the shore of Lake Volta. We will experience nature as well as enjoy the daring water sport thrills, horseback riding, hiking and engaging with the local residents of the island. The sunset on the lake is just spectacular. Live entertainment and catered fine cuisine are included with your boarding ticket. We head back to Accra the same day.

Day 7 :

Prepare for next day departure. You’re invited to a sunset farewell beach party at Bojo Beach! Take in the waves of the ocean and sunset one last time before your depart beautiful Ama Ghana.

Travelers who for some reason are unable to make a trip can request that unused funds be applied to a different or future travel opportunity. In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied:
● From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.
● Between 60 and 31 days before your arrival date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
● Between 30 and 15 days before your arrival date, 75% of the entire tour price will be charged.
● Between 14 and 1 day before your arrival date, 100% of the entire tour price will be charged.
